Catina Suarez Roscoe, ISFD

Catina is a freelance furniture designer and founder of Catina Unlimited Design Studio in Greensboro, NC. Earning a Fine Arts degree in Design- Sculpture Concentration, her three-decade career has seen many successful collaborations with leading industry brands and retailers.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Catina came to the US at an early age. The impact of her heritage- the love of Latin music, food, and art is prominent in her life and work. Her strength is in creating interpretive designs that allow the consumer to insert their personality into a space. With the sensitivity of capturing what speaks to a consumer’s style of living, Catina has a strong belief that design should touch us all on an emotional level. She intuitively balances elements of traditional and contemporary, a blend of the familiar and the unexpected evoking a connection to an individual’s mood and expression. Catina finds inspiration in color, form, pattern, and composition in our everyday life.

Catina is a past President of the International Society of Furniture Designers and currently serves on its Board. Her studio is a repeat finalist and multiple winners of the Pinnacle Award.
